Exhibits |
New Exhibit! Discover the amazing ways animals find and eat their food. Devour the facts behind why some animals only eat meat, while others feast on fruits and plants. Savor your visit to the Animal Diner and find out what the black bear (omnivore), beaver (herbivore) and boa constrictor (carnivore) sitting next to you are selecting off the menu.
Identify the predators and prey among our animal menagerie, which includes a bearded dragon, white's tree frogs, ball python, giant African millipede and Madagascar hissing cockroaches. Manipulate the jaws of a lion and a zebra skull to view the mouth mechanics that let them chow down. Reach in and touch the teeth of a great white shark. Get a close-up look at the special mouthparts of a butterfly, cockroach and fly through vivid slow motion imagery.
This exhibit is made possible by a generous gift from The Gertrude and Louis Feil Family.
